Made from native beeswax on a series of silk lengths suspended from the ceiling, BreathIIII offers a contemplative atmosphere of warm light, organic texture, subtle movement and scent. Its relationship with bees and the natural world is expressed in dialogue with traces of an embodied making process. An experience of minimal abstraction, the work washes over the viewer, inviting them to breathe deeply, and to reflect on the nuanced perceptual and emotional qualities of their encounter.
